About
Kenny Irwin's daring assemblages illustrate a world of media consumption while outrageously expanding the boundaries of what we believed could be constructed into a single art piece. Robots and dolls, batteries and balls, baseball cards and skulls to name a few of the countless materials Irwin has pieced together in his intricate works that feature major media outlets such as Disney, Netfilx and Paramount Pictures.
Recycled Media creates life in a world manifested then left behind, a perfect reminder as we open on Earth Day 2022 of what we can accomplish when we recycle and bring awareness to what we consume.
Palm Springs native and fine arts graduate of the California College of the Arts, Irwin has exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit and was featured on the Conan O'brian Show, CNN, and in publications such as Juxatapose Magazine, NY Times and the LA Times. Irwin's art park, Robolights, has been a major art attraction in Palm Springs for over 20 years. REN Gallery is delighted to present this artist for his Los Angeles debut as we open our doors to the public for the first time since our CoVid closure in March of 2020. Welcome back Ren Gallerinos and new patrons alike!
