About
Viva la Vulva is bringing the arts and medical community together for a six-week exhibition of art and dialogue that will educate audiences about the issues surrounding female sexual health.
Our incredible group of all-female artists include:
Lili Bernard, Aurelia Bizouard, Edvarda Braanaas, Joanna Cassidy, Karen Petty, Tanya Ragir, Leslie Reed and Amanda Sage.
Viva La Vulva is a movement created by and organized by Cedars Sinai resident physician, Dr. Cara Quant after she noticed how mens sexual issues are regularly discussed in the medical community, but women's sexual health issues are often overlooked. "So many things can affect a womans sexual health throughout her life such as sexual abuse, pregnancy, stress, menopause, cultural ideals and often times the pain or lack of desire that happens as a result of these life events is not addressed.” says Dr. Quant. "Education is the key to overcoming.”
Dr. Quant’s friend and colleague, Parnika Kodali, Director Business Operations at Kaiser Permanente co-founded Viva La Vulva together with Dr. Quant’s brother Jeremy Quant owner of Dot Red Art Tours and is being curated by REN Gallery Owner Renee Warren.
Over the course of this exhibition, two days of panel discussions will be given by physicians, educators, sexologists and celebrity pundits on female sexuality and health. Guests are encouraged to come with their own questions and an open mind. These events are FREE to attend!! Please RSVP for any of the events you'd like to attend.
