Art Palm Springs Afterparty at the Ingleside Inn

Enjoy an evening of live entertainment by Jazz duo Jasmine & Lorenzo, complimentary libations provided by Melvyns and artworks curated by Renee Warren, owner of Los Angeles’s REN Gallery at the Ingleside Inn.  Guests are invited to explore the newly renovated grounds of this beautiful historic Spanish Colonial Revival hotel and enjoy a selection of artworks that represent the exciting new movement happening in Downtown LA, where pop, street, and op art have found a unique space to coexist.   Featured artists include David Buckingham, Adam Greener, Robert Morgan, Nicholas Tredway and Louis XXX.

The Ingleside Inn, a Spanish style estate, was built at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains in 1925.  Ten years later it was transformed into a 20-room hotel by Palm Springs pioneer Ruth Hardy. She operated the hotel similarly to a private club in that you could not just call in for a reservation; you had to be invited to stay there.  Guests included Howard Hughes, Salvador Dali, Norman Vincent Peale, Spencer Tracy, and Mrs. L. M. Giannini. Just last year the hotel underwent a major renovation by the Plumjack group, preserving the hotel’s historic integrity and integrating modern amenities and one-of-a-kind hospitality experiences for their guests. Stay late and grab dinner at the hotel’s renown restaurant Melvyn’s or enjoy drinks in the piano bar after the reception.
